HHS 2021

hi in woodwork we made blootooth speakers we painted them and laser printed logos on them. We made a name tag and scratched our names onto it. In DVC we made signs. 

Bacteria

Equipment:

1. Agar dish

2. Cotton bud swab

3. Vivid pen

Method:

1. Collect the bacteria on a cotton bud swab from taps, computer keyboards or desks.

2. Divide the agar in half by drawing a line opn the lid.

3. Wipe the swab onto the agar solution.

4. Put the petri dish into the incubator for 1 week to allow the bacteria to grow.

5. Draw and label a bacteria.

6. Draw and label a scientific diagram of the experiment.

what i did in the school holidays

 In the holidays I went to Timaru for the first half of the week the other half of the week I watched a Movie called Free Guy and mostly played games like Minecraft or Fortnite for the rest of that week.On the second week I biked to my old school with my Step-Brother and my two cousins and my cousins cousin I watched movies went to take the dogs for walks and that's basically it.

What We Did:  We have been working on a Narrative writing story about either horror,fantasy or myths and legends.But first i was working about the paralympics
What I Learned:  Stuff about the paralympics and how to plan story writing
My Favourite Parts: Starting to right the story and hoping to finish it
My Next Steps: Hoping to finish it before the next term   And get it up on my blog

Feedback for my Teachers: Get us to write a story about what ever you want and get us to write it and the first person to finish it gets a prize like some chocolate or something like that

What I Learned:  Lots of stuff about Algebra and equations and addition and subtraction
My Favourite Parts: What i liked about maths is that we did Algebra and just Maths all together

Lisa Carrington

HI im Devan. You might know Lisa Carrington.Nah just kidding! you do everyone does... (maybe).Anyway im going to talk about Lisa Carrington.All her awards...(maybe not all)and alot of other stuff about her so lets begin. Lisa Carrington is an award winning athlete in her chosen sport of kayaking. She is an ambassador for Beef and lamb nz and toyota nz. She was born in Tauranga she grew up in whakatane she has won 5 gold medals and 1 bronze and has successfully competed in Japan,Australia,Tokyo,U.S.A and china.At the 2016 Halburg awards, she won the sportswomen of the year and also won the surpreme award.The event she took part in is the K4 500 m, K2 500m and K1 200m.The Tokyo olympic games were Lisas third olympics.
